Sundays at FLC Gainesville

Looking for community? Looking for insight? Looking for a place to be and belong?

You’re welcome to come, learn, connect, & worship with us.

Coffee & Donuts (8:30am):

It’s early, we know, but we have delicious donuts glazed with goodness, hot coffee, fresh fruit, and some solid conversation to get you going.

Bible Study Hour (9:00am):

Join us for more coffee, donuts, and Adult Bible Study, as well as Sunday School for children of all ages.

Classic Divine Service (10:00am):

This is traditional worship at its best, including liturgy and hymns from the Divine Service, accompanied by our beautiful pipe organ and featuring our Senior Choir, Handbells, and other instrumentation.

DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR — Free College Lunch (11:30am):

Hungry? Immediately following 11am worship is a FREE lunch for all college students during the Fall & Spring semesters. Interested in helping out? Contact us to provide lunch for our students.

For Kids:

We encourage children to join us for worship to learn and grow together as a family. We have activity bags for kids & a special children’s sermon at each service along with a “cry room” in the back where parents can continue to participate in worship in a comfortable, relaxed, space for kids to chill out if need be.

For the Hearing Impaired:

First Lutheran Church of Gainesville has a Hearing Loop in the sanctuary to assist those with hearing loss to hear more clearly during services.  A Hearing Loop is an assistive listening system that transmits sound directly into one’s hearing aids or cochlear implants rather than depending on the sound coming from the loudspeakers.  To receive the Loop signal, manually activate your T-coil or telephone setting on your hearing aid or cochlear implant.
