Music Ministry Resources


        First Lutheran Church is blessed with a wide assortment of resources.  Its most important resource is its people who faithfully gather to praise and serve the Lord each week!

Musical resources include a Baroque styled 33 rank pipe organ found in the balcony of the sanctuary.  A Yamaha Concert Grand piano, a full sized electronic  keyboard, and timpani drums also are used in worship.  The congregation also makes extensive use of English  Handbells and  Choir Chimes.  We ring 5 octaves of handbells and 6 octaves of choir chimes.  A Praise Team utilizes keyboard, guitars, drums, and several other instruments.  Musical organizations rehearse in a large choir room.  A wide variety of Orff and percussion instruments are also available and used by the choirs.

Music Ministry Organizations


  1. •Senior Choir

This group sings approximately twice a month in worship services.  This choir consists of people high school age and older.

  1. •Handbell Choir

This group rings approximately once a month in worship services.  This choir consists of people high school age and older.

  1. •High School/Middle School Choir

        This choir consists of students in grades 6-12 and meets when there is interest.

  1. •Junior Choir

        This choir consists of young people in grades 1-5 and meets when there is interest.

  1. •Praise Team

This group assists as worship leaders at the blended worship service and consists

of people from all ages.

  1. •Soloists and Instrumentalists

Many times throughout the year, individuals share their solo talents with us.

Soloists may perform with their voice, a keyboard instrument, or other instruments.

The Music Ministry

    The music ministry of First Lutheran Church exists to assist the congregation in the praise of God. It seeks to accomplish this by preparing faithfully, offering lots of variety, and building each other up by sharing a common goal and enjoying Christian fellowship.   The musical organizations of First Lutheran Church are open to all friends and members.
